Summer Camp

Chapel Rock Campfire

Check-In & Departure

Each week-long program (including confirmation camps) begins on Sunday afternoon.
Check-In is from 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm*. As we get closer to summer, registered campers will receive instructions about how check-in/drop-off will work for the summer of 2021. It is likely that each family will have an assigned window of time for check-in to spread out the number of people checking in at a time. It is also likely that check-in will happen in your vehicle.

For the summer of 2021 camp will end on Thursday evening. Please note that this change is only for the summer of 2021 to allow for cleaning and a "rest period" in the buildings before the next group arrives.

Camper pick-up will be from 6:00-7:30pm on Thursday evenings. Families will be given a window of time for pick-up to reduce the number of people picking up at the same time. Campers will have closing worship on Thursday before dinner. For the summer of 2021, families will not be able to attend the closing worship.

2021 Summer Schedule, Programs, and Pricing

* Price includes all programming, meals, lodging, snacks, and staff. The only additional expense is an optional store account to purchase merchandise in the camp store and crafts in the craft cabin. Rocketry Campers have the option of purchasing additional rockets. Campers may give an offering from their store account to the annual ministry project. *

Notes about Summer 2021 Schedule and Programs:

For the summer of 2021 we will not be offering all of the specialty programs that we typically offer. Specialty programs require extra staff/volunteers and involve campers from multiple programs mixing groups for their specialty activities. This summer, campers will do all of their activities with their cabin group (pod) and we will not have extra leaders/teachers/volunteers joining in with groups. We are also operating at 50% capacity for the summer of 2021 and cannot accommodate the "typical" schedule. The full schedule of specialty programs will return next summer.

Additionally, registration deadlines have been implemented and will be firm for the summer of 2021 to allow time for a symptom watch period of 14 days prior to camp.

Tiered Pricing - Why 3 Prices?

Realizing that everyone has a different ability to pay, Lutherlyn has instituted a voluntary three-tier fee program. You may choose the tier that is most suitable for your situation. It is really a free system; you tell us what is affordable for you and your family. All participants receive the same camp experience no matter what they pay! Tier I is our historically subsidized rate and does not reflect the true cost of operating summer camp programs. Tier II is our partially subsidized fee for those who can pay a little more but still cannot afford the actual cost of camp. Tier III more closely accounts for the true cost of camp.

Our Goals:

  • To provide the highest quality programs possible.
  • To serve all community income levels.
  • To preserve camp for generations to come.

Again, this program is voluntary and in no way influences the experience anyone will receive.  It offers the opportunity for families/individuals to take an active role in supporting the true cost of the camp experience at Lutherlyn!

Financial Assistance is available for campers who cannot afford to pay the entire camp fee. Please contact Lutherlyn for an application.  We are committed to offering a safe Christ-centered community that nurtures our camper’s growth. Lutherlyn promises never to turn a child away from the opportunity to come to camp because of financial circumstances.
