A day in the Lutherlyn Adventure Program holds challenges that draw people closer together, help individuals stretch their talents and abilities, and teaches youth and adults skills valuable for a lifetime. Participants in the Lutherlyn Adventure Program experience the opportunity to learn new skills and develop new horizons within a supportive Christian context.
Group Challenge Course

Lutherlyn's Group Challenge Course is a series of life-size physical and mental puzzles that challenge groups to think and work as a team. Lutherlyn’s approach is unique in that each program is tailored to meet the needs of your group. Program length is generally two or more hours.
All Ropes Course programs begin with ground work in preparation for the elements. Participants experience a series of activities that build trust and safety guidelines for the elements.
Following the ground work, elements of the Group Challenge Course and periods of discussion are tailored to help your group reach its goals.
Participants must be in 4th grade or older.
Sample Program (Group Building)
- 1 hour of "ground work" (icebreakers, trust building, and safety preparation activities).
- 30 minutes on the "Nitro Crossing".
- Discussion on trust, respect, and nurture within the group during the activity, highlighting how these factors apply to the group away from the ropes course.
- 30 minutes on the "Star Gate".
- Discussion on interdependence, common goals/focus, and gifts recognition. Here we focus on how the group works together at a task, and suggest how the group may work together in the future.
Climbing Chimney
The Chimney to Lutherlyn's Dining Hall also serves as a rock climbing wall. Climbing is available to groups from April-early June and from mid-August-October. Participants must be in 7th grade or older.
